Q2 2024 Performance of Top Theme Parks Apps in Global Markets

In the second quarter of 2024, theme park enthusiasts around the globe continued to engage with their favorite parks through mobile applications. Sensor Tower's latest data provides insights into how the top theme park apps fared in terms of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.

Disneyland® Paris experienced a steady stream of revenue, maintaining around $3M to $4M weekly, with downloads peaking at 365K in the week of May 20. Weekly active users hit a high of 745K in the same period, signifying a strong engagement during the spring season.

LEGOLAND® Deutschland Resort saw a gradual increase in downloads, starting at 25K and reaching up to 77K by mid-June. Despite the lack of reported revenue, the app's download trend indicates a growing interest among park visitors.

Universal Studios Japan had a modest download count, with a noticeable spike to 57K in late May. Weekly active users varied significantly, peaking at 68K towards the end of May, suggesting a seasonal uptake in app engagement.

My Disney Experience generated consistent revenue, with weekly figures hovering between $12M and $18M. However, downloads started at zero and only saw minor fluctuations, indicating a possible saturation in the market or a focus on engaging existing users.

Europa-Park & Rulantica had no reported weekly active users and observed minimal downloads, with a small bump to 22K in early June. The app's performance suggests a quieter quarter compared to its counterparts.
